Various operations with scan results
■
Adding the Phonebook entries
When data for adding to the Phonebook is scanned, “add phonebook” and the data to be added such
as a name and a phone number appear.

Select “add Phonebook” and press
(select).

Select “YES” and press
(select).
The Phonebook entry screen appears. The scanned data have already been set.
• To cancel the operation, select “NO”.

Composing i-mode mail
When data for composing mail is scanned, “compose message” and a recipient and a subject appear.

Select “compose message” and press
(select).

Select “YES” and press
(select).
The compose mail screen is displayed. The scanned data have already been set.
• To cancel the operation, select “NO”.

Adding Bookmarks
When data for adding a Bookmark is scanned, “add bookmark” appears with a site name and a URL.

Using the Phone to, Mail to, and Web to functions
If scan results contains a phone number, mail address, and URL, you can select them to make a call
(Phone to), compose mail (Mail to), or connect to an Internet web site (Web to).
•
The operating procedure is the same as that for using the Phone to, Mail to, and Web to functions
from a site or mail (see p.298).
•
You cannot use a phone number, mail address, or URL that is not highlighted.
•
When you select a phone number or mail address and select “add PHbook” from the submenu, you
can add the phone number or mail address to the Phonebook. When you select a URL and select
“add bookMK” from the submenu, you can add the URL to Bookmark.

Copying scan results
You can copy and paste characters to the Phonebook entry screen, compose mail screen, etc.
•
Maximum number of characters you can copy: 512 single-byte (256 double-byte) characters

Select “copy” from the submenu.

Specify the start and end points of the copy range.
