Receiving
a
Call
After the call, a prompt appears asking whether to save the caller’s phone number in the Phonebook.
If no operation is performed for about 15 seconds, the prompt automatically disappears and the Standby
screen reappears.
•
If you do not want to save the phone number, select “NO” and press
(select). Use the following
procedure to save the phone number in the Phonebook.
1
Select “YES”, and press
(select).
“phone 1”, “icon” and “MEM no.” are automatically entered.
2
Enter any other information that you want to save.

Operating procedure: Steps 2 - 6 in
Saving Entries to the Phonebook (see p.89)
•
No prompt appears if “phonebook” is off in the Assist Partner setting (see p.221).
•
The prompt does not appear in the following situations:
•
When a call is made to another party
•
When there is no Caller ID
•
When Phonebook Access Lock is set
•
When Keypad Lock is set
If you receive a call from a caller not found in the Phonebook
(select)
•
Use care not to cover the antenna with your hand, so that you can use your mova on better conditions.
•
You can set your mova so that you can answer a call by simply opening your mova (see p.513).
•
Calls can be received while using i-mode or when in i-mode standby. You can also set your mova to reject
calls (see p.299).
•
When a call is received from a party listed in the Phonebook, if Keypad Lock or Phonebook Access Lock is
set or the party is stored in Secret memory, the other party’s name does not appear. Nor does the phone
number when Keypad Lock is set.
•
No ringtone will sound while in the Manner mode or in the Drive mode (see p.112, 77).
•
The mova cannot be called by phones that cannot dial the area code portion of phone numbers, such as
office internal phones or those connected through a PBX (private branch exchange).
•
The wave intensity is unstable if you make or receive a call while moving. Due to the characteristics of
digital communication, a call could be suddenly interrupted. Faint signals may prevent you from receiving a
call even if the
圏外
(outside area) indicator does not appear. It is recommended that you select location
with good signal conditions (When you are indoors, preferably close to a window where the reception level
is ).

If you preset the close operation to “hold”, you can put a call on hold by closing your mova (see p.510).
•
During hold, a hold message is sent to the caller. You can also send a message you recorded yourself
(see p.512).
•
When you open your mova or connect an earphone/microphone, the call will be released from the hold
state so that you can continue the call.
•
Even during hold, call cost will be charged to the caller.
