Setting a video clip in the Private diary
•
Video clips in a folder set as secret cannot be used.
•
If the date and time have not been set, you cannot set a video clip in the Private diary.

Display a video clip, and select “diary link” from the submenu.
The month view screen appears.
•
This operation can also be performed from the picture list or title list.
•
This is not available during video playback.
•
When Private Diary is set to secret, enter your 4-digit terminal ID number.

Select the date and press
(select).
The video clip is set in the Private diary.
•
When an image or video clip has already been set, a prompt appears.
To change the setting, select “YES” and press
(select). To cancel the operation, select
“NO”.
You can extract and save a single shot of a video clip as a still image.
•
The extracted still image is saved in the built-in memory (“photo folder” in “camera album”) as a
“i-shot(S)” sized image.

Play the video clip and press
(pause) to pause the play.

Use
to display the single shot you want to extract.
•
You can move the video forward shot-by-shot by pressing
and fast forward by pressing and
holding it down.
•
You can move the video backward shot-by-shot by pressing
and rewind by pressing and
holding it down.

Select “best shot” from the submenu.
The still image is saved.
•
When there is not enough free space in the built-in memory, or when the maximum number of
saved images is reached, a prompt appears asking if you want to overwrite an existing image
(see p.540).
