Basic Character Entry Procedures
The mova provides various functions related to text input such as saving data in the
Phonebook or composing mail. To facilitate these activities, convenient functions are
available for entering characters, such as Common Phrase entry, copying and pasting.

5-press Method
(Default setting)
Multiple characters are assigned to each key. The character changes as a key is pressed.
For example, to enter “E”, press
5 times.
Press 2 numeric keys to enter each character just like sending text to a pager*.

Note 1: You can use both single-byte and double-byte characters and spaces. 2 single-byte characters are
counted as 1 double-byte character. Note that, however, characters are counted regardless of whether
single-byte or double-byte characters are used on entering a text body of Short Mail.
Note 2: The JIS 1st Level Kanji characters (2965) and the 2nd Level Kanji characters (3390) are available.
