Use the Camera setting to specify the “saved to” location for video clips. You can change the
setting after viewing the video clip you took (see p.154).
For the maximum recording time and the maximum number of video clips that can be saved,
see p.132.
•
Check the Closeup switch before taking a video clip (see p.129).

In standby, select “camera”
“movie mode” from the sub-display menu.
•
You can continue taking video clips with the mova open.
•
If no key is pressed for about 3 minutes, the Standby
screen reappears.

Point the camera at the subject, and press
.
The recording start sound is emitted, and recording starts.
•
If you place the mova horizontally to take a still image, the image appears
vertically on the main display.

Open the lens cover.
The Video Photography screen appears in the Inspiration window.
•
Alternatively, in standby, you can open the lens cover to show the Still Image
Photography screen, and then switch to the Video Photography screen to
record a video clip (see p.134).

While recording, do not block the microphone. The loud noise could be recorded, or the voice could be
recorded so low. Also, when you make the loud voice or sound near microphone, the voice could be distorted.
•
A key operation sound may be recorded if you press a key during recording.
•
Even in the Manner mode or Drive mode, the recording start and recording end sounds are emitted while
you are taking a video clip.
•
You can answer a call while viewing the Video Photography screen. When the call ends, the mova returns
to the Video Photography screen.
•
When the mova receives mail or a Message while the Video Photography screen is displayed, the
message reception screen appears. Press
(return) to return to the Video Photography screen.
•
Recording ends when the mova receives a call, mail, or a Message during recording. When you ends the
call or press
(return) in the message reception screen, the video clip you were recording is displayed,
so that you can decide whether to save it or not (see p.147).
•
A character image set by the Partner setting does not appear while the camera is active. A “no setting”
image appears instead.
•
Once the recording is started, the main display and the Inspiration window display are not switched even if
the mova is opened/closed.
