Sending text messages
You can quickly send a text message to a pager by using Memo Pad to save it in
advance.

Save “Good morning” in the Memo pad.

Press and hold down
(return) and press

The operation is completed.

Select “send pager” from the submenu.
An announcement is played indicating that the message has been sent.
•
Small katakana and lowercase alphabetic characters are sent as normal-sized katakana and
uppercase alphabetic characters.
•
Please note that if you do not enter the message within a specified amount of time, the call will
be considered to have no message.
•
If the message contains a character that cannot be sent in the selected Paging mode, an
“unable to send double-byte letter” message appears. Check the Paging mode (see p.58).

Dial the pager*.
You hear a series of beeps indicating when to enter the message.

Select a text message from the Memo pad.
•
All message modes allow transmission of all symbols listed in the code table. For more information, see
the instruction manual for the pager.
•
Double-byte characters cannot be used in transmissions to DoCoMo’s QUICKCAST (02 Do) service.
