You can clip the subject from the background of an “i-shot(S)”, “wallpaper”, or “i-shot(L)”
sized still image and place it on another “i-shot(S)”, “wallpaper”, or “i-shot(L)” sized still
image. You can place a portrait in your favorite background.
•
For easy clipping, it is suggested that you take the still image in front of a simple single color
background such as a wall and place the subject at the center so that the subject does not
touch the left, right or top edge of the image. If you cannot clip the still image well, selecting
“sharp” in the sharpness setting of the photo effects may help (see p.151).
Combining images

Select the still image that you want to combine.

Select a folder and press
(select).
• When the selected folder is set as secret, enter your 4-digit terminal ID number.

Select a still image and press
(details).
• Only the “i-shot(S)”, “wallpaper”, and “i-shot(L)” sized still images are displayed. The still
images captured in Burst Mode are not shown.

Press (select).
Part of the still image is automatically trimmed and it is placed in the background still image.
• You cannot specify which part is to be trimmed.

Press (rotate).
• Rotates 90 degree to the right each time
(rotate) is pressed.

Display a still image to be used as background and select “edit image” from
the submenu.

Select “05.composition” and press
(select).
•
In the following cases, you cannot clip the subject from the rest of the still image neatly:
•
The background color and the subject color are similar.
•
There are other objects around the subject.
•
The boundary between the background and subject are not clear for some reason such as backlighting.
