[Easy Backup]
Backing up the data stored in the mova easily
You can create a backup of data stored in the mova under the Memory Stick Duo. You
can create a backup of the following data:
・ Phonebook ・ Received mail ・ Sent/unsent mail ・ Bookmark ・ Schedule, ToDo List
•
If you delete data stored in the mova by mistake, you can copy data from the backup previously
created in the
Memory Stick Duo to the mova.
•
A backup of all data of a selected type that is stored in the mova will be created. A backup of
the following data is not created:
・ Phonebook entries stored in Secret memory
・ Received and sent/unsent mail in a folder set as secret
•
The conditions for data to be backed up are the same as those for data to be copied or moved
from the mova (see p.486).
•
During Phonebook Access Lock, a backup of the Phonebook cannot be created.
•
During i-mode Lock, a backup of received/sent/unsent mail/Bookmarks cannot be created.
1 In standby, select “memory stick” from the menu.

When Memory Stick Lock is set to on, enter the 4-digit terminal ID number.
3 Enter your 4-digit terminal ID number.
2 Select “12.backup data” and press (select).
4 Select next to items for which to create the backup.
5 Press (decide).
A backup is created.
•
If there is not enough free space in the Memory Stick Duo or the maximum number of folders or
data that can be saved is reached during being created of backup, the backup is interrupted.
The part of the backup data that has been created is saved in the
Memory Stick Duo.
•
You can cancel backup creation by pressing (cancel) in the screen displayed while creating
a backup. The part of the backup data that has already created remains.
•
Select or next to items and press (select). and are
