Making a Call

When you want to stop making a call partway through
Press .
■
When you hear a busy signal
The line is busy. End the call by pressing
. Wait a while and dial again. You can easily dial
a previously-dialed number (using the Redial data) (see p.51).
■
When you hear an announcement informing you that the call cannot be connected
The mobile phone or PHS terminal that you are calling is turned off or in a place where the
signal does not reach.
■
When you hear an announcement asking you to turn Caller ID Notification on and call
again
The other party uses the Caller ID Display Request Service (see p.464).
Turn Caller ID Notification on or add a “186
”
before the phone number of the other party and
call again (see p.44, 53).

About phone numbers
•
You can enter up to 24 digits for the phone number.
•
When you enter a wrong number:
Briefly press
to delete 1 digit at a time.
Press
(return) or press and hold down
to delete all digits at
once.
Enter the phone number.
Calling a mobile phone

080-XXXX-XXXX
Calling a PHS terminal
070-XXXX-XXXX
Calling a general subscriber

Enter the area code even when you
are in the same area code.

A call is made to the displayed phone number. First the dial tone and then the
ring back tone is heard in the earpiece.
•
If the caller’s phone number is saved in the Phonebook, the caller’s name or
reading also appears.If the image is set, it also appears. You can make
settings so as not to display that information (see p.205).

The number disappears once and reappears and begins blinking.

To end the call, press
.
The call duration is displayed for about 5 seconds, followed by the Standby screen.
•
To quickly return to the Standby screen, press
(OK).
