Enter a title.

Press (select).

to delete unnecessary characters and enter a new title (up to 20 single-byte

or 10 double-byte characters).

Protecting recordings

1

Select a recording in the recording list, and select “protect” from the submenu.

The recording is now protected, and the icon changes to one with a 

icon

attached.

•

To cancel the protection, select the protected recording and select
“unprotect” from the submenu.

•

The recording saved on the 

Memory Stick Duo can not be protected.

Deleting recordings

Select a recording in the recording list, and select “delete one” from the
submenu.

To delete all recordings

1

In the recording list, select “delete all” from the submenu.

Select “YES” and press 

(select).

The recording is deleted.

•

To cancel the operation, select “NO”.

•

When deleting recordings, “read only data is set, delete?” may be displayed. You can set the “read only”
attribute from a PC or other devices. Note that, even when “read only” is set to data, the data can still be
deleted on the D506i.

Editing the title

Select a recording in the recording list, and select “edit title” from the
submenu.

•

Protected recordings cannot be deleted. Cancel the protection before deleting them.
