Enter the mail text.

Select the “message” field and press
(select).

Enter the text body.
•
Characters are counted regardless of whether single-byte or double-byte characters are
used. The text body can contain up to 50 characters. You cannot use a linefeed.
•
Some characters and symbols are not displayed properly on the recipient’s phone.

Pictographs other than

are displayed as blank spaces.

Single-byte symbols other than the following are displayed as blank spaces: ? ! - /

Single-byte lowercase characters entered in kana mode or alphabetic mode are sent as
uppercase single-byte characters.

When double-byte symbols (such as “

”) are entered in the Short Mail body,
Short Mail is not received properly by the recipient.
•
Even if you have set your mova to automatically add a signature, the signature is not added
to the body of Short Mail. You cannot add a registered signature from the compose Short
Mail screen, either.

Enter the phone number of the recipient’s mova.

To enter the phone number by searching through the Phonebook

Select “1. directory” and press

The Phonebook entry list appears.

Alternatively, select the “recipient” field and select “directory” from the submenu.

You can also press
before entering a phone number at direct input.

Only Phonebook entries that have a phone number are displayed.
•
You can change the search type and specify a search criteria. Use the same procedure for
searching the Phonebook in standby (see p.103).
•
To search for a Phonebook entry stored in Secret memory, use Secret search (see p.109).
