Setting the mova Mail Function (continued)
[Edit/Set Signature]
Adding a signature to outgoing mail
[Default] no signature/set signature: off
You can register your own signature (name, phone number, etc.) and add it to
outgoing mail.
•
Single-byte katakana, pictographs or some double-byte symbols such as “
” and “
” should
not be used in the signature when you send mail to other than i-mode compatible mobile
phones, as such characters may not be correctly displayed at the receiving side.
Registering/editing a signature

If a signature is already registered, the signature appears.
•
Alternatively, you can select “setting”
“mail setting” from the menu.
•
You can also select “mail setting” from the submenu in the compose mail
screen, compose Short Mail screen, Chat mail screen, sent/unsent and
received mail folder lists, sent/unsent and received mail lists, and
sent/unsent and received mail display screens.
In standby, select “mail setting”
“edit signature” from the mail menu.

To not add a signature automatically, select “2.off”.
You can add a previously registered signature to outgoing mail automatically when you compose i-mode
mail and i-shot mail.

If you include your phone number in your signature, recipients using i-mode compatible mobile phones can
easily call you using the phone number in your signature (Phone to function). Note, however, that the
Phone to function may not be available depending on the type of mobile phone the other party is using.
•
Even if you edit or set a signature from the compose mail screen, the signature is not added to the text
being created, and the signature already entered in the text is not edited or deleted, either.
