Disabling to Receive a Call While Driving a Car (continued)
If you set Drive Mode while any DoCoMo Network Services are activated, incoming calls are handled as
described below.

When the Voice Mail Service is activated

When a call is received, the ringtone does not sound. The call is recorded in the Call history. The
Missed Call icon appears.

The caller hears an announcement that you are driving and that the call will be connected to the Voice
Mail Service Center. The call is connected to the center automatically.

When the Call Forwarding Service is activated

When a call is received, the ringtone does not sound. The call is recorded in the Call history. The
Missed Call icon appears.

Calls are forwarded to the specified phone number. Whether or not an announcement is played
depends on the setting made by dialing 1429 (see p.456).
■
When the Caller ID Display Request Service is activated
•
If a “user unset” call is received, an announcement is played requesting that Caller ID be set. (The
Drive Mode announcement is not played.)
■
While in i-mode or i-mode standby
•
The caller hears an announcement that you are using the phone for i-mode or data communication.
Further details of the announcement vary with the setting for call reception during i-mode as described
below:
Note:If you subscribe to the Voice Mail Service, Call Forwarding Service or Call Waiting Service, set
the Call Reception setting by dialing 1450. You can also use the Select Second Call Handling
function to set the Call Reception setting.
The setting for call reception during i-mode is invalid in the following cases.
•
When 2nd calls are set to be connected to the Voice Mail Service Center automatically (1451)
(see p.452)
•
When 2nd calls are set to be forwarded automatically (1452) (see p.457)
•
When 2nd calls are set not to be indicated (1459)
When you subscribe to the Voice Mail Service (see p.452)
When you subscribe to the Call Forwarding Service (see p.457)

Call reception during the Drive mode
The caller hears an announcement that you are driving and the call
will be forwarded.
The call is forwarded without playing an announcement. The Drive
Mode announcement is also not played.
