Turning All Phone Sounds Off
In order not to disturb people around you in places where silence is required, you can
set the mova to turn off all sound. In the Manner mode, the phone vibrates to let you
know when a call arrives.
•
When Drive Mode is set along with Manner Mode, Drive Mode takes precedence over Manner
Mode (
appears).

Ringtones, keypad sounds, warnings and all other sounds generated by the mova are silenced. However,
you can neither eliminate the following sounds, nor can you adjust their volume.
•
Shatter sound, continuous shooting sound and Auto timer sound emitted when shooting still images
•
Recording start sound and recording end sound emitted when shooting video
•
The sensitivity of the microphone increases enough to allow you to talk softly.
•
When a call or mail arrives, the call indicator flashes and the mova vibrates.
When the mova vibrates, it uses the vibration pattern set for each person in the Phonebook (see p.92).
•
When the time set by Easy Timer or Alarm Time arrives, the alarm does not sound and instead the mova
vibrates.
When the mova vibrates, it uses the vibration pattern set by Easy Timer or Alarm Time
(see p.241, 243).

When a specified schedule time arrives for which the sound or vibrator has been set, the alarm does not
sound and instead the mova vibrates. When the mova vibrates, it uses the vibration pattern set for each
schedule time (see p.253).

The Manner mode can be changed by changing the Manner Mode Selection settings. (see p.113).

When you recharge the mova using the desktop holder with the power turned on, be sure to turn off the
Manner mode. Otherwise, the mova could vibrate out of the holder when a call arrives.
•
Do not leave your mova on a table or other hard surface with the Manner mode active. Vibrations
generated by an incoming call could cause it to fall to the floor.
