Chat
Deleting registered Chat members
1
Select a member to delete in the set Chat member screen, and select “delete
one” from the submenu.
•
Alternatively, press and hold down
to delete it.
•
When you delete yourself, the Chat name is set to “me” and the color is set to “no color”.

To delete all Chat mail members

Select “delete all” from the submenu.
Proceed to Step 2.

Select “YES” and press
(select).
The Chat member is deleted.
•
To cancel the operation, select “NO”.
•
Alphabetic characters of mail addresses are case-sensitive. Set them correctly.
•
When you set the Chat member by searching Phonebook, set mail address is not to be deleted or changed
even if it is deleted or changed in the Phonebook.
•
If you attempt to register an existing Chat member again, the chat member is added without overwriting the
existing one.
•
Even if you set a Chat member afterwards, received and sent mail is not added to the Chat mail screen.
•
You can also set a Chat member by displaying the Chat mail screen from received Chat mail (see p.390).

Composing and sending Chat mail
•
If there is no open space in the Outmail box (when there are a total of 200 unsent and protected mail
items including i-mode mail, Short Mail and i-shot mail), you cannot compose new Chat mail.
•
When you send mail to other than i-mode compatible mobile phones, single-byte katakana characters,
pictographs or some double-byte symbols such as “
” and “
” should not be used in the mail body,
as such characters may not be correctly displayed at the receiving side.
The Chat mail screen appears.
•
In the following cases enter your 4-digit terminal ID number: (You need not
enter it if you already entered it.)

Mail Security is set
・
The Inmail box or Outmail box contains a folder set as secret.

Press
(edit), and enter the message.
•
Up to 500 single-byte or 250 double-byte characters can be entered.
