i-shot
Service
What is i-shot?
What
is
i-shot?
The i-shot service allows you to send still images taken with an i-shot compatible
mobile phone to i-mode compatible mobile phones, PCs, or other operator’s mobile
phones.
•
When you use i-shot to send images to PCs, FOMA terminals, or other operator’s mobile phones, they are
delivered as mail attachments.
•
Images are stored at the i-shot center for up to 10 days. When the maximum storage period is reached, the
Images are automatically deleted.
•
When sending i-shot mail to an i-mode compatible mobile phone, the recipient can access the image URL
located in the i-shot center for viewing an image. Each URL can be accessed up to 50 times. When the
total reaches 50 times, you cannot access that URL any longer.
•
You can use i-shot to send the same mail to up to 10 recipients simultaneously.

How the service works
When you use i-shot to send images, the images are stored at the i-shot center and mail containing the
URL is delivered to the recipient. The recipient then uses the URL to download images. Downloaded
images can also be saved as Screen memos. With the D506i, images can also be saved in the built-in
memory.
•
Sending i-shot mail (see p.403)
•
Displaying images sent using i-shot (see p.410)
•
You do not need to subscribe to i-mode to use i-shot to send images, however, you must subscribe to
i-mode to receive i-shot mail.
•
Caller ID Notification must be turned on to send i-shot mail.
•
i-shot mail cannot be sent to some PHSs and mobile multimedia devices.
•
When you send i-shot mail to multiple recipients simultaneously (Multi-address transmission), all recipient
addresses may be notified to the receiving side.
