Make the setting for each item as required. They can be made in any order.
Step 1 Starting entry

In standby, press and hold down
(PHbook).
The Name setting screen appears.
•
When you press
, the display changes in the following order. The Phone setting screen, the
Mail setting screen, the Other setting screen, the Name setting screen.

Enter the name.

Select the “name” field and press
(select).

Enter the name (up to 32 single-byte or 16 double-byte characters).

Check the reading.
The Japanese reading for the name is automatically entered.
During name entry, if you converted to Kanji from an incorrect reading for the purpose of entering
the desired Kanji, or if you reentered the name, the correct reading is not entered. In this case,
correct the reading of them.

Select the “reading” field and press
(select).

Press
to delete unnecessary characters and enter the correct reading.

You can enter up to 32 single-byte katakana, alphanumeric characters, symbols and spaces.

If the Name setting screen is not displayed, use
to display it.
Step 2 Entering name and address (Name setting screen)
Enter the name.
Automatically entered when the name is entered.
The lowest unused Memory number is automatically assigned.
You can specify that an image is displayed in the dial screen and call
reception screen.
Enter the address.
Enter the memo.
To save the entry to the Phonebook, proceed to Step 6 (see p.95).
