In the compose mail screen, select the “to” field and press
(select), and
select “1.directory” and press
(select).
Select a recipient and press
(select).
The phonebook entries are listed.
•
Alternatively, you can select “directory” from the submenu after selecting the
“to” field.
•
At direct input, you can also press
with no characters having been
entered.
•
You can switch the search type to another or can specify the search criteria.
Operating procedure is the same as when searching the Phonebook in
standby (Phone No. search, however, is not available) (see p.103).
•
To search for Phonebook entries stored in Secret memory, switch to the
Secret search (see p.109).
The selected mail address is entered in the “to” field.
•
If the recipient sets a Secret code, you can register the Secret code in the
Phonebook entry so that the Secret code is automatically added when you
send mail to that address. However, the Secret code does not appear in the
“receiver” field.

Using the Phonebook to search for a recipient’s mail address
•
Searches cannot be performed when the Phonebook Access Lock is set.
•
Mail addresses stored in Secret memory remain in the sent/unsent mail and Re-mail data. If you
do not want the address to become known, delete the concerned sent/unsent mail or Re-mail
data item (see p.358, 360).
•
You can also begin composing i-mode mail after searching for a Phonebook entry (see p.330).
