* i-mode is a subscription-based pay service.
i-mode subscribers can access
the services on the right.
•
Close the mova to take a picture of others and open it to take a picture of yourself. You can take a
picture in a variety of photo modes. You can zoom-in from one to up to 20x freely. You can send
still images you took with the i-shot mail function, save them in the Phonebook or use them as a
Standby screen. You can also take video clips (see p.127).
•
When the mova is closed, you can start/end taking images with the camera by opening/closing the
lens cover.
• You can take pictures more clearly using the Compact light even if in the dark places.

The mova incorporates the ATOK input
method system for efficient conversion of
Kanji characters. The AI predictive conversion
function displays predictive conversion list
and allows easy entry (see p.558).
• Pressing allows you to enter pictographic
characters, emoticons and pictographic words
easily (see p.569).

You can save more data such as a still image
or video clip taken with the camera, an image
or melody downloaded via i-mode or an i-

software (see p.536).
Large capacity data box
You can exchange Phonebook data,
sent/unsent and received mail and images
(see p.468). Your mova also supports infrared
remote control function (see p.477).

Site (program) connection service
Simply pressing the appropriate key allows you to access
wide range of online services provided by the information
provider. For example, you can use your mova to check
your bank account balance or reserve tickets. You can
also play games and download melodies you want to use
as ringtones. (The range of financial services available
depends on the particular financial institution, and may
require a separate application.)

• You can send still images taken with the built-
in camera to i-mode compatible mobile
phones or other mobile phones and PCs (via
the Internet) (see p.403).
• You can send still images with sizes other
than “i-shot (S)” and “i-shot (L)” by
automatically reducing it and send still images
immediately after taking via i-shot easily.
• You can capture still images from the taken
video clips and send it via i-shot (see p.146,
186).
i-shot service support
If recording in advance, you can take a still
image or video clip (see p.157).
Voice operation
You can scan JAN codes and QR codes with
the camera. Using the scanned data, you can
register data in the Phonebook, save images
and melody, copy characters, and perform
various operations (see p.192).

You can copy and save sent/unsent and
received mail, Phonebook entries, images,
video clips and melodies to “
Memory Stick
Duo”. You can also back up the data in the
mova (see p.480).
• You can make the setting when printing by a
printer which supports DPOF (see p.502).
