Using Barcode Reader (continued)

Barcode

eader

A concatenated QR code represents a single data item with two or more QR
codes. D506i supports scanning of a concatenated QR code consisting of up
to 16 QR codes.
After scanning the first QR code, the screen shown in the left figure appears.

Press 

to scan the next QR code.

• Repeat this until all codes of the concatenated QR code are scanned.
• When you have scanned the same QR code twice, “already scanned,

scan next bar code” is displayed. Press 

and scan the appropriate

QR code.

• If a code cannot be scanned within 30 seconds, “could not scan, scan

next bar code” appears and scanning stops. Press 

to retry

scanning.

• If you attempt to end Barcode Reader while one or more concatenated

QR codes are being scanned, a prompt appears. To cancel the scan, use

to select “YES” and press 

. To continue the scan, select “NO”.

Alternatively, you can do this by opening the mova and select “YES” or
“NO” and press 

(select).

• Similarly, a prompt appears when there is no operation for about 3

minutes.

• While scanning the concatenated QR code, you cannot perform

switching to the Still Image/Video Photography screens.

Open the mova.

Scan results appear on the main display.

You can save scan results for later use (see p.197).

•

The screen shown on the left is an example of scanned results. This is
different from the scanned results of the barcode example in p.192.

Select an input field from a site or Screen Memo and press 

(select).

Move the cursor to the position where you want to enter scan results.

Start code scanning.

If you open the mova after scanning is completed, the scanned characters are input.

Data other than characters are replaced by spaces.

To end Barcode Reader, open the mova and press 

(stop). Pressing

Using Barcode Reader while viewing a site

During code scanning, the character set in Set Partner is not displayed. (Instead, “no setting” screen
appears.)
