Using zoom
•
Close the mova to set the scaling factor for Close Shoot and open the mova to set the scaling
factor for Open Shoot.
•
The maximum allowable scaling factor depends on the photo size and the shooting method. The
smaller the photo size is, to the larger scale it can be zoomed. The maximum allowable scaling
factor for taking video clips is the same as that of “i-shot(S)”.
・
i-shot(S): x20 for Close Shoot, x10 for Open Shoot
・
wallpaper: x10
・
i-shot(L): x4
・
VGA: x2.5
・
SXGA: x1.25
・
UXGA: x1
・
2Mpixel: x1
•
The setting is valid until shooting is completed. However, when you set/cancel Burst Mode or
Frame Shoot, or change the photo size in the Camera setting, the zoom is canceled.

In the Still Image Photography screen or the Video Photography screen, press
and hold down
and release it when scaling factor appears.
A bar appears, which shows the scaling factor increasing while you are holding
down
. When the desired scaling factor appears, release
.
•
To decrease the scaling factor, press and hold down
and release it when
scaling factor appears.
For the still images, if the photo size set in the Camera setting is larger than “VGA”, and when the zoom
exceeds the maximum scaling factor for the photo size, the photo size is automatically reduced to a smaller
size. For example, if the photo size is set to “SXGA” and the scaling factor exceeds x1.25, the photo size is
changed to “VGA”. If you perform further zooming and the scaling factor exceeds the x2.5 scale, the photo
size is then changed to “wallpaper”.
•
During zooming, the photo size is indicated at the right of the bar. When the photo size is larger than
“VGA”, the portion of the bar corresponding to the changed size is shown in red.
•
You cannot change the size to “i-shot(L)” or “i-shot(S)”.
•
The maximum scaling factor is x5.
•
If you zoom in/out to the original size, the photo size also changes to the original one accordingly.
•
The photo sizes of the “i-shot(S)”, “wallpaper”, and “i-shot(L)” do not change irrespective of zooming
factor.
•
The photo size in the Camera setting is not affected.
