The data communication using an earphone/microphone jack cannot be performed.

Activate the Fax mode only when sending or receiving faxes to and from a G4 fax machine.

Select “1.yes” and press
(select).
When you set in standby, “FAX mode is set” appears. When you set during a call, “FAX on”
flashes and the talking screen reappears.
•
To deactivate the Fax mode, select “2. no”.
•
If the Fax mode is activated during a call, the mode is deactivated once the call ends.
•
The conventional optional products, “Modem Unit” and “Fax Unit” for mova cannot be used with this model.
•
Communication under poor signal conditions or while you are moving may adversely affect Data/Fax
Communication.
•
While you are sending or receiving data/fax, anyone calling you will hear a busy signal.

Switch-equipped Earphone/Microphone
Using a Switch-equipped Earphone/Microphone (optional)
A switch-equipped earphone/microphone (optional) allows you to make and receive
calls simply by pressing a switch. Also, with a stereo earphone set, you can listen to
melodies in stereo sound.
•
You can use an earphone/microphone with the following product or combination. Note that
products are not available in some area.
・
Flat switch-equipped earphone/microphone P01/P02
・
Switch-equipped earphone/microphone P001/P002 + earphone jack adapter P001
・
Flat stereo earphone set P01
・
Stereo earphone set P001 + earphone jack adapter P001
・
Earphone terminal P001 + earphone jack adapter P001
(This combination requires a separate stereo earphone.)
•
Even if an earphone/microphone is connected, the ringtone is heard from the speaker by the
default setting. Setting the phone to not generate ringtone (see p.126)
•
You cannot make a call using the switch on a switch-equipped earphone/microphone in the
following cases. Cancel or change the settings before the operation.
・
When the phone number is not registered to the Memory number 999, or the Memory number
999 is stored in Secret memory (In case a Memory number is set with the Auto Dial setting,
when the phone number is not saved in the Memory number or the Memory number is stored
in Secret memory)
・
When the Phonebook Access Lock is set
・
When Keypad Lock is set
・
When Auto Dial setting is set to off
