STEP ACTION YES NO
1 1) Using sound scope, check each injector for oper-
ating sound at engine cranking.
2) Do all 4 injectors make operating sound?
Fuel injector and its cir-
cuit are in good condi-
tion. Go to step 2.
2 Does none of 4 injectors make operating sound? Go to step 4. Go to step 3.
3 1) Check connector connection and wire harness of
fuel injector not making operating sound and fuel
injector itself.
2) Are all above OK?
Substitute a known-good
ECM/PCM and recheck. Faulty injector or its
circuit.
4 1) With ignition switch at OFF position, disconnect
connector from No.1 injector.
2) Check voltage at “B/R” wire terminal (2) with igni-
tion switch at ON position.
3) Is battery voltage obtained?
Go to step 5. Power circuit open.
5 1) Disconnect ECM/PCM connectors with ignition
switch at OFF position and check all 4 injectors for
resistance respectively, referring to FUEL INJEC-
TOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION.
2) Is each resistance 7.8 – 9.5 ?
Substitute a known-good
ECM/PCM and recheck. Faulty injector or its
circuit.
