1) Check DTC, referring to DTC in this section.
2) Was DTC No. 12 displayed when diagnosis switch
terminal is grounded?
Go to step 2.
Go back to Flow Table
corresponding to that
DTC.
2
1) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature
and keep it idling.
2) Using service wire (1), ground Diag. switch terminal
(2) in monitor connector (3) and connect duty meter
(4) between Duty output (“F”) terminal (5) and
Ground (“D”) terminal (6) of monitor connector.
Check IAC duty (value indicated on duty meter) and
engine idle speed.
3) Are they within specification?
IAC duty
: 5 – 25 %
Engine idle speed: 750 – 850 rpm
Go to step 3.
Disconnect negative
cable at battery, Recon-
nect it and recheck.
If OK, go to step 4.
