KNOCK SENSOR

REMOVAL

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Disconnect connector of knock sensor.
3) Remove knock sensor (1) from cylinder block (2).

NOTE:
Be careful not to expose it to excessive shock.

INSPECTION

Inspect knock sensor, referring to flow table of diagnostic trouble
code No. 17.

INSTALLATION

Reverse removal procedure noting the followings.

Tighten knock sensor to specified torque.

Tightening Torque
(a): 23 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)

Connect connector of knock sensor and clamp wire harness se-
curely.

IAT SENSOR

REMOVAL

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Disconnect IAT sensor connector.
3) Remove IAT sensor (1) from intake manifold (2).

Tightening Torque
