Install tie rod end lock nut and tie rod end to tie rod. Position lock
nut to marking made in removal.
NOTE:
When tie rod was replaced, measure length “a” on removed
tie rod and use it on new replacement tie rod so as to posi-
tion lock nut properly.

INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse removal procedure, observing following
instructions.
Tighten gear case mounting bolts (1) to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 25 N·m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 lb-ft)

Install pipe gasket and exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold (if re-
moved).
Tightening Torque
(a): 50 N

m (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 lb-ft)

When installing steering joint, tighten lower bolt (2) first and then
upper bolt (1).
Tightening Torque
(a): 25 N·m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 lb-ft)
