5) Clean mating surfaces of both right case (1) and left case (2),
coat mating surface of left case with sealant evenly then mate
it with right case.
“A”: Sealant 99000-31110
6) Tighten case bolts (3) from outside to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(b): 19 N·m (1.9 kg-m, 14.0 lb-ft)
7) Install reverse shaft bolt (4) applied with thread lock cement
with aluminum washer and tighten it.
“B”: Thread lock cement 99000-32110
Tightening Torque
(c): 23 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)
8) Install another 5 case bolts from clutch housing side and tight-
en them to specification.
If vinyl tape has not been removed, remove it from input shaft.

9) Check locating spring for deterioration and replace with new
one as necessary.
10) Install steel ball (4) and locating spring for respective gear shift
shaft and tighten with gear shift locating bolt (5) and washer
(6).
Tightening Torque
(a): 13 N·m (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 lb-ft)

11) To seat countershaft L bearing cup (1) to bearing cone, tap cup
using special tool and plastic hammer.
