COUNTER SHAFT
DISASSEMBLY
1) Remove caulking from nut and remove nut and washer.
2) Using press (1), remove reduction driven gear (2).
3) Using special tool, remove bearing from counter shaft (1).
Special Tool
(A) : 09941-84510
ASSEMBLY
Assemble parts in reverse order of disassembly, noting following
points.
Apply A/T fluid to press-fitting surface.
Install reduction driven gear (1) to counter shaft. Be sure to match
splines before press-fitting.
Replace counter shaft nut (2) with a new one, tighten to specified
torque and caulk nut with punch (3).
Tightening Torque
(a): 55 N
.
m (5.5 kg-m, 29.0 lb-ft)
