1. Thickness gauge

2) Remove inner rotor (1) and outer rotor (2).

3) Remove oil seal (1) from oil pump housing, using screwdriver.

INSPECTION

Check each component part for damage and abnormal wear.

Measure side clearance of outer rotor and inner rotor (2) at 3 posi-
tions each.

Side clearance
Standard: 0.02 – 0.05 mm (0.0008 – 0.0018 in)

Measure chip clearance of outer rotor (2) and inner rotor (3).

Tip clearance
Standard: 0.02 – 0.15 mm (0.0008 – 0.0059 in)

Measure clearance of seal ring (2).

Seal ring clearance
