NOISE SUPPRESSOR
REMOVAL
1) Remove air cleaner assembly.
2) Unwrap tape from nose suppressor.
3) Disconnect coupler of noise suppressor (1).
4) Remove noise suppressor.

INSPECTION
Using ohmmeter (1), check to be sure that capasitor (Condenser)
in noise suppressor (2) is not conductive.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace noise suppressor (2).
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure for installation.

IGNITER
Before this inspection, prepare two new 1.5V batteries, one 12V
3.4W light bulb and one 12V battery (fully charged).
REMOVAL
1) Remove ignition coil/igniter assembly (1) from vehicle.
2) Remove igniter (2) from bracket.

INSPECTION
1) Arrange 2 new 1.5V batteries (1) in series (check that total volt-
age is about 3.0V).
2) Connect test bulb (12 V 3.4 W) (2) between “IG COIL” terminal
of igniter (3) and battery positive (+) terminal, then connect bat-
tery negative (–) terminal to “G” terminal (4).
Check that the test bulb (1) DOES NOT illuminate.
3) Connect positive (+) side of “two 1.5V batteries in series” (1) to
“IGT” terminal (5) and negative (–) side to “G” terminal of igniter
(4).
Check that the test bulb DOES illuminate.
If inspection result is not satisfactory, replace igniter.
INSTALLATION
1) Reverse removal procedure for installation.
