AIR INTAKE SYSTEM

THROTTLE BODY

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

Check that throttle valve lever moves smoothly.

REMOVAL

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Drain cooling system, referring to SECTION 6B.
3) Remove air cleaner inlet pipe (1), air cleaner assembly (2) and

resonator (3).

4) Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle body.
5) Disconnect connectors of MAP sensor (1), TP sensor (2) and

IAC valve (3).

6) Disconnect water hoses (4) and vacuum hose (5) from throttle

body.

7) Remove throttle body from intake manifold.
