40) Blow air into band joint circuit of case to check piston (2) opera-
tion.
41) Install control valve assembly.
Pass solenoid terminal wire harness through terminal hole
in case.
With manual plate (1), pin (2) and dent in manual valve (3),
also manual plate (2) and manual detent spring (4) position
matched respectively, pass solenoid coupler over them and
set terminal in case.
Push solenoid terminal into terminal hole and install snap ring
to terminal from outside of case.
42) Tighten valve body (1) and oil strainer (2) mounting bolts to
specified torque.
Tightening torque for valve body and oil strainer mounting
bolt

.
m (0.3 kg-m) (5 mm bolt, 2.2 lb-ft)
8 N
.
m (0.8 kg-m) (6 mm bolt, 6.0 lb-ft)
43) When case (1), control valve assembly and throttle valve (2)
have been replaced, select length of rod (3) by using special
tool.
Set control valve and measure dimension “i” by using special
tool.
