save announcements
Use save announcements to copy announcement data from the announcement
board to the MSS. The Card-Mem stores announcements for the system. By
default, announcement data writes to the MSS device in a simplex processor
(SPE) system, or to both MSS devices in a High or Critical Reliability System.
Also, save announcements can write to the MSS device on either processor, in a
High or Critical Reliability System.
If integrated announcement boards exist, this command is allowed. The system
denies save announcements if no announcement data modules and no
NETCON data modules are administered.
The switch notifies administrators if an attempt is made to save announcements to
an incompatible flash card. For example, if the command is issued against an old
12V card, this results in the error message:
Pre-G3V9 format memory card
inserted.
Simplex
In a simplex system, no options for save announcements exist. This command
saves announcement files to the MSS device.
