Using markers, you can determine the magnitude of the cable loss for any particular
frequency.

Measuring Transmissions

Measuring transmissions is only available with model .12.

This measurement example measures the transmission characteristics of a lowpass fil-
ter.

Test setup

To measure the transmission, connect the input of the filter to the generator output and
the output of the filter to the RF input.

Setting the frequency span

Before calibrating the R&S Cable Rider ZPH, you should define the frequency range of
the filter.

1. Select the [FREQ/DIST] key.

2. Select the "Start" or the "Stop" softkey.

The R&S Cable Rider ZPH opens an input field to specify the start frequency or
stop frequency.
