7.2.3.2
Defining the Display Range
The display range defines the scale of the vertical axis and therefore the amplitude
between the two horizontal grid lines. The unit depends on the measurement format.
When you change the display range, you can increase or decrease the amplitude the
R&S Cable Rider ZPH displays and, e.g. include signal parts that are outside the dis-
played screen area. The position of the reference value and the trace does not change.
1. For model .02, press the [SCALE] key.
For model .12, press the [SCALE/AMPT] key.
2. Select the "Range" softkey.
The R&S Cable Rider ZPH opens a submenu to select the range setting.
3. Select one of the menu items to select the display range that you require.
7.2.3.3
Adjusting the Vertical Axis Automatically
"100 dB Scale" is only available for S21 measurement (model .12).
The R&S Cable Rider ZPH provides an automatic scaling algorithm to optimize the
results display. The R&S Cable Rider ZPH does this by determining the minimum and
maximum trace values and adjust the vertical axis according to these values.
1. For model .02, press the [SCALE] key.
For model .12, press the [SCALE/AMPT] key.
2. Select the "Auto Scale" softkey.
The R&S Cable Rider ZPH performs the automatic adjustment of the vertical axis.
You can also do a reset on the vertical axis by performing a full scale setting.
3. Select the "50 dB Scale" or "100 dB Scale" softkey.
Depending on the selection , the R&S Cable Rider ZPH performs the reset scaling
of the vertical axis to display a full scale from 0 dB to -50 dB or 0 dB to -100 dB.
