5.2 Fastening of SUS Pipe
Item to be prepared:
Wrench (1/4 inches)
In connection of the SUS pipe, fasten it in the following manner.
(1) Attach the SUS setscrew and screw it in with your hand
until it is finger-tight.
(2) Using a wrench (1/4 inches), re-tighten the SUS setscrew
(with a tightening torque of 4 [N•m]) so that it will be
secured firmly. Regarding an angle of re-tightening, refer
to the table shown below.
If the SUS setscrew is not secured firmly, it may become
loose during operation of the instrument to cause such a
fault as liquid leakage or unpredictable stop of analysis.

NOTE
:
In a case where the setscrew is made of resin, just
finger-tighten it securely. Do not re-tighten it with a
wrench. If the setscrew made of resin is overtighten,
the inside diameter will be deformed to cause an
abnormal increase in pressure, resulting in an
adverse effect or trouble in operation.
