4.1.4 Operational Check of Liquid Leak Sensor
The Chromaster 5310 column oven is equipped with a liquid leak
sensor for detecting liquid leakage. Note, however, that liquid
leakage may not be detected correctly due to sensitivity of the
leak sensor. To prevent this, perform periodic operation check
for the liquid leak sensor as instructed below.
(1) Operational Check of Leak Sensor
Drip about 0.5 mL of water on the liquid leak sensor.

NOTE : When using the liquid leak sensor, the instructions
given below should be followed.
(a)
When a solvent is used, turn on the liquid leak
sensor function.
(b) The liquid leak sensor may not detect a drop of
leakage or high-volatile solvents. Always check
the leakage even while the liquid leak sensor is
turned ON.
(c) Visual confirmation of a liquid leak is
recommended as a daily check.
(d) A periodic check for the liquid leak sensor is
required also.
