4.3.1
Adjustment Procedure
(1) While monitoring the sensor output on the gas leak sensor
monitor screen, inject 50
μ
L of methanol through the piping
connection opening in the side of the main unit.
(2) Set the alarm level to about 80% of the maximum sensor
output value.
(3) Exit the gas leak sensor monitor screen, inject 50
μ
L of
methanol again and check that a gas leak error occurs.
NOTE
: Gas leak error will continue occurring until the
concentration of organic solvent falls below the
detection threshold. When a gas leak error occurs,
open the front door and wipe up all the leaked liquid
before reusing the instrument.
The detection sensitivity of the gas leak sensor varies with the
solvent (see Fig. 4-5). If a gas leak is not detected at the
occurrence of a leak with the solvent being used, or if a gas leak
error occurs frequently, try adjusting the alarm level in the
aforementioned way with the same solvent.
