2) Remove 3 rear speaker mounting screws.
3) Remove rear speaker (2) from side panel.
4) Disconnect rear speaker coupler from rear speaker.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure.
Antenna Amplifier (for Sedan Model) Removal
and Installation

Removal
1) Fold rear seat back forward.
2) Remove rear side sill scuff (1), rear side lower trim
(2) and rear side upper trim (3).
3) Disconnect 2 coupler (1) from antenna amplifier (2).
4) Remove antenna amplifier (2) from vehicle.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure.
Antenna Amplifier (for Wagon Model) Removal
and Installation

NOTE
Antenna amplifier for wagon model
incorporated with antenna base.
Removal
1) Remove head lining referring to “Head Lining
Removal and Installation in Section 9H”.
2) Remove antenna (1) from antenna base (2).
3) Disconnect antenna feeder from antenna base (2).
4) Remove antenna base (2) from vehicle.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following.
• Tighten antenna base mounting nut to specified
torque.
Tightening torque
Antenna base mounting nut (a): 9 N·m (0.9 kgf-
m, 6.5 lb-ft)
Remote Audio Control Switch Inspection

1) Remove driver air bag (inflator) module referring to
“Driver Air Bag (Inflator) Module Removal and
Installation in Section 8B”.
2) Disconnect remote audio control switch connector
from contact coil.
3) Check switch (1) for resistance between “a” and “c”
terminals under each condition below.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace remote
audio control switch.
“MUTE”, “+” and “–” switch resistance
All switches released (OFF): 90 – 110 k
Ω
“MUTE” switch pushing on (ON): 300 – 360
Ω
“+” switch pushing on (ON): 900 – 1100
Ω
“–” switch pushing on (ON): 2900 – 3500
Ω
