8B-83 Air Bag System:
2 1) With ignition switch OFF, disconnect SDM connector
“L70”.
2) Check proper connection to SDM at terminals “L70-19”
and “L70-18” or “L70-20” and “L70-21”.
3) If OK, then measure resistance with connected Special
Tool (B) and (C).

a) DTC B1081: between “L70-19” and “L70-18”
terminals.
Special tool
(A): 09932–76010
b) DTC B1085: between “L70-20” and “L70-21”
terminals.
Special tool
(A): 09932–76010
Is resistance 2.8
Ω
or less?
Substitute a known-
good SDM and recheck. DTC B1081:
Repair high resistance
or open in “WHT/RED”
or “WHT/GRN” wire
circuit.
DTC B1085:
Repair high resistance
or open in “RED/BLK” or
“RED/YEL” wire circuit.
