blank. Also,
PVC

Must be

if other end of trunk will be an N74/7500. (See explanation.)
4
The connection defined by the card, port, and DLCI must be different for each logical
connection (logical port, IP or IPX interface over frame relay, and frame relay-to-frame
relay PVC) in this node.

This Trunk a Backup

cannot both be

. If one is
Y
, changing
the other to

will automatically change the first one to

Physical Interface
is the hardware interface. On an AST LP, this is always RS-232. On an RLP, the
interface is determined by the associated Line Interface Card (LIC) and the cable
attached to the port's I/O box connector. The LP record identifies the LIC, and only
the valid interfaces will be displayed as choices in the Port record. LICs are shown in
parentheses:

= RS-232 (RS-232)
4
= V.25Bis_Dial (RS-232)
5
= V.35 (V.35)
6
= RS-449 (RS-422)
7
= RS-530 (RS-422)

= X.21 (RS-422)
9
= E1 (E1)
Blocked Port Flag
causes the port to be enabled (
N
) or disabled (
Y
) at node
IPL
. The port will remain in
that state until this parameter is changed (and sent to the node) or an on-line enable/
disable is performed. (See "
Disabling and Enabling Ports"
on page 18-1.)
Line Speed Code
specifies the data transmission rate in bits per second, and the clock speed when the
port is a physical DCE. If this port is not configured to generate clock, specify the line
speed that corresponds (as closely as possible) to the configuration of the device con-
nected to the port. Line speed codes are as follows. (Some speeds have two corre-
