Configuring Statistics Thresholds
For each node (N74/7500 only), RLP, and port statistic, you can specify a threshold
that, when crossed (in either direction), causes an alarm to be generated. Thresholds
are configured in the database, and can also be changed temporarily on line.
Master status is required for database changes, but not for on-line changes.
To configure a statistics threshold:
1. Press
[F]
at the Main Menu to display the Statistics Menu.
2. To configure the database values, press [
A]
, then
[C]
at the Statistics Menu.
To change one or more values on line, press
[G]
at the Statistics Menu.
3. When prompted, enter:
◆
Statistics level: N
for Node,
L
for LP, or
P
for Port. (Default is
N
.)
◆
Node ID
:
1–250
. (Default is the local node.)
◆
LP number
(if requested):
0–7
. (Default is
0
.)
◆
Port
(if requested):
0–63
. (Default is
0
.)
◆
A value for each statistic (if requested):
0–64535
. (Default =
0
). This is
either a number or a percentage, depending on the statistic. (The text of
each statistic will make it obvious.)
A menu like the following port statistics example will be displayed. Descriptions of
the various statistics can be found earlier.
