FRX8000 3. 0 User G uide, Rev 02
defined by a
Percent of Bandwidth
value (
1–100
) and a
Priority
(
0–9
) specified in the
Network Defaults file. (See "
Bandwidth Allocation Groups for Trunks
" on page 4-8.)
When configuring priorities, be careful to consider the types of
traffic being routed on other connections in the node.
1st,2nd,etc. Routing Path
assigns ports to the subscriber's routing paths group.
1st,2nd,etc. Redirected Sub No.
is a subscriber that will be called according to the specified redirection option.
Configuring PVCs
A PVC is a “permanent” connection between two remote subscriber ports. This allows
communication between the attached devices as soon as they are powered up, without
having to first make a call to establish a connection. FRX8000 Switch and N7400/
7500 support X.25-to-X.25 PVCs. FRX8000 also supports IP-over-X.25 PVCs
(described in
Chapter 14
) and async-to-X.25 PVCs (described in
Chapter 13
.)
To add or change a PVC, press
[C]
, then
[C]
again from the Connections and Routing
Paths Selection Menu (or
[A], [F], [C], [C]
from the Main Menu). When prompted,
enter:
●
Connection ID
:
0–9999
, which is simply a number unique to this connection.
●
Any other requested information, referring to
Table 9-2
.
