Producing an Alarms Report
With this operation you can print or display an alarm summary for your entire
network or a particular node, alarm level, and/or time interval. The report is pre-
sented in reverse order of occurrence; you see the most recent alarm first.
Press
[A]
at the Alarms Menu (or
[D], [A]
from the Main Menu). When prompted,
enter any requested information, noting Table 21-1. (Press
[Enter]
at a prompt to
specify the default value.) Explanations of some of the parameters follow the
table.
From Node
is the node whose alarm file is examined.
For Node
is the node whose alarms you want on the report.
Alarm Level
see “Alarm Severity Levels” on page 1.
From/To
are the times of the earliest and latest alarms you want in the report, in the format
YY-MM-DD-HH-mm
, where:

= year (
00-99
)
MM
= month (
01-12
)
DD
= day (
01-31
)
HH
= hour (
00-23
)
mm
= minute (
00-59
)
Display Option:
D
displays all alarms that meet the selected criteria.
Press
[Scroll Lock]
to stop the report from scrolling, once more to restart.
Press
[F3]
to stop the report before it is finished, and once more to return to the
Node ID:
prompt.
L
displays only the most recent alarm; press
[F3]
to return to the
Node ID:
prompt.
P
prints the alarm report. The
Node ID
: prompt will reappear when the report
starts printing.
F
allows you to specify a file into which to put the report.
