Multiple database master at Node “n”
Severity:
3
Meaning:
When INMs/NMPs are reconnected to the network after the network
has been partitioned, more than one INM/NMP may have master
status. As soon as the nodes are notified of the multiple masters, this
message will appear on all nodes with master status.
Action:
Follow the directions suggested by the next few alarms that are dis-
played on the screen/printer. They will tell you what types of
database concurrency operations should be performed.

Backouts enabled from Node “n”
Severity:
3
Meaning:
You have enabled database backouts. The function is disabled
automatically whenever a valid update is received.
Action:
None.

Node “n” needs backouts enabled
Severity:
3
Meaning:
Node “n” must have transactions backed out in order to bring it into
synchronization. However, the backout function is not enabled for
that node.
Action:
After clearing any remote masters (see
page 18-19
), enable backouts
(see
page 18-20
) for the node.

either by operator request or node IPL.
