LP “n” Port “n” Trunk down – cause “n”
Severity:
3
Meaning:
A physical connection that existed between the specified port and a
neighboring node has just become unusable. A trunk can go down as
a result of a break in the physical connection, or because the neigh-
boring node has a problem.
Cause Description
2
Failed (level 1 is down)
4
Level 2 has dropped, and the trunk process was notified
that the trunk port is no longer operational. This can be
caused by a level 2 link recovery attempting to correct a
line failure.
5
Trunk was taken down by the routing process because the
remote end did not correctly acknowledge the routing
packets. This usually means that the trunk has stopped
passing data in one direction, so the node that detected
the problem brought the trunk down.
6
Disabled by operator action (disable port)
Action:
None.
390.
LP “n” LIC “n” loaded with type “n,” mismatch with database
Severity:
3
Meaning:
The specified Line Interface Card (LIC) is a different type than its
Line Processor database record specifies. The LP software was
loaded anyway.
Action:
Correct the database record or change the LIC.
391.
Node “n” – Node type mismatch with LP “n,” IPL terminated
Severity:
3
Meaning:
The node defined in the database is different from the actual node
type (Enterprise Switch, ICP, etc.).
Action:
Correct the database record.
392.
Node “n” LP “n” Port “n” not loaded, unsupported port type “n” on 7000
node
Severity:
3
Meaning:
Self-explanatory.
Action:
Correct the database record for the specified port.
393.
Upgrade in Progress is not set but node “n” is pre-Release 5.0
Severity:
3
Meaning:
If the network contains N74/7500 nodes running an N7000
release earlier than 4.0, the system parameter
Upgrade in Progress
(see page E-5) must be set to
Y
.
Action:
Change the parameter setting.
