Configuration Example

In the example in Figure 12-1, the following records are necessary to configure an
SVC (switched virtual circuit) from CC (cluster controller) 100 to CC 200:
●
Node records for Nodes 1 and 2.
●
LP records for LP 0 in Node 1 and LP 0 in Node 2. (Both ends of a connection
do not have to be on the same LP number.)
●
Port records for:

Port 0 on LP 0 in Node 1. Configure Port Type as Trunk .
◆
Port 1 on LP 0 in Node 1. Configure Port Type as BSC , and BSC PAD Type
as HPAD .
◆
Port 0 on LP 0 in Node 2. Configure Port Type as BSC , and BSC PAD Type
as TPAD .
◆
Port 1 on LP 0 in Node 2. Configure Port Type as Trunk.

BSC Interactive Subscribers record for Node ID 1, LP ID 0, BSC Port 1, Con-
nection ID any unused number,
0–255 . Configure Local Subscriber ID as 100 ,
and Remote Subscriber ID as 200 .
●
BSC Interactive Subscribers record for Node ID 2 , LP ID 0 , BSC Port 0 , Con-
nection ID the same as that specified for the above subscriber. Configure Local
Subscriber ID as
200 , and Remote Subscriber ID as 100 .
●
BSC Interactive Devices record for Node ID 1 , LP ID 0 , BSC Port 1 . Specify the
same Connection ID that is configured in the BSC Interactive Subscribers record
for the port.
●
BSC Interactive Devices record for Node ID 2 , LP ID 0 , BSC Port 0 . Specify the
same Connection ID that is configured in the BSC Interactive Subscribers record
for the port.
