Cursor Movement
Components are placed into and selected within the network representation by moving
the cursor to the desired locations. Cursor movement is controlled as listed below. (If
the numeric keypad at the right side of the keyboard is used,
[Num Lock]

= to next object, sequentially by ID number, ending at the subnet ID/name, then
returning to lowest-numbered object.

(tilde) = sequentially in reverse order of that described for
[Tab]

[5]
= controls the distance moved by the cursor when the above keys are struck while
moving an object. Pressing
[5]
causes the cursor to move a greater or lesser distance
(depending on the current setting) when other keys are pressed.
Depending on the level of the display, the cursor can be positioned on an icon (see
Figure 19-9
.) or on (or above) a designation (subnet name, LP number, etc.).

Black
Node/NMP/Subnetwork is not reachable.
White
Subnet: All white means entire subnet is reachable; a black number means
some elements are reachable and some are not.
NMP/Node: No outstanding alarms.
Green
Object has Level 4 alarm (least severe) outstanding.
Yellow
Object has Level 3 alarm outstanding.
Magenta
Object has Level 2 alarm outstanding.
Red
Object has Level 1 alarm (most severe) outstanding.
