LLC2 Interface Parameters
The following table lists parameters for all interface types. Explanations of some
parameters follow the table.
1
See caution at explanation.
2
Configured in
LLC2 Host file
. (See page 11-19.)
Interface Type
identifies whether the interface is on a LAN or a frame relay network.
LAN Card
identifies the LAN card in an FRX8000. When LAN cards are installed, the first one
is card 0 and the second is card 1.
LAN ID
identifies the ring number used by a frame relay-compliant source-route bridge at the
other end of this connection. The value is normally assigned by a system adminis-
trator.
LAN IDs are also specified in Node Defaults. (See
“Configuring
a Virtual LAN ID”
on page 11-19) and LAN Card records
(described in
Chapter 6
). Each LAN ID must be unique within
the network on which this node will operate.
RLP/Port
identifies the LP and physical port containing the interface.
DLCI
matches the connection with an interface at the remote end of the link.
1490 Encapsulation
is the RFC1490 encapsulation method used for LLC2 traffic.
