FRX8000 3. 0 User G uide, Rev 02
nodes have been migrated to Release 5.0, the parameter must be reset to
N
, to make
the nodes compatible with FRX8000 nodes, which can then be added to the network.
This parameter has no function on FRX8000s.
BAG Param 1
stands for Bandwidth Allocation Group Parameter 1, and determines an increment by
which the allocated bandwidth will be increased if:
●
Network traffic has reached the maximum allocated bandwidth, and
●
There is available bandwidth not being used by other traffic, and
●
The bandwidth being allocated is within the maximum value specified by
BAG
Param 2
.
BAG Param 2
sets a cap on the bandwidth increase allowed by
BAG Param 1
.
Pct of Bandwidth - Net
is used in conjunction with
Priority for Net
to create a “bandwidth allocation group”
(described on page 4-8), for the purpose of prioritizing network-related traffic flow
with regard to the bandwidth used by subscriber-related trunk traffic.
Priority for Net
allows setting a priority for traffic within the bandwidth allocation group defined in
this file; the higher the number, the higher the priority.
Alarm Severity Level
Chapter 21
lists all alarms and their default severity levels.
There are four alarm levels:
1
= Serious fault. Immediate action is required.
2
= Major fault. Take action as soon as possible.
3
= Minor fault or traffic disturbance. Clear the fault at the first suitable
occasion.
4
= Informational event. No action is necessary.
Press
[D]
, then
[C]
from the System File Type Selection Menu (
Figure E-1
). When
prompted, enter an alarm number. The alarm number and severity level are displayed,
allowing you to change the level.
After making any changes here, return to the Main Menu and perform an
Update Network Defaults
(
[B], [G]
from the Main Menu).
